Back in the U.S.S.R. with Dimitri Kozyrev

Opening this Thursday, March 10 at Benrimon Contemporary in NYC is Russian native Dimitri Kozyrev‘s solo exhibition, Lost One. Presenting an amalgamation of works from his “Lost Edge” and “Last One” series, the show’s arresting images both haunt and delight, presenting scarred landscapes that recall the forgotten military avant-garde of past Soviet regimes. If you’re in the area, be sure to check it out before it closes April 1!

Dimitri Kozyrev Featured at MOCA Tuscon

MOCA Tuscon will be opening the second installment of its major group summer exhibition on July 10th, “Made in Tuscon/Born in Tuscon/Live in Tuscon Part II,” which will feature three new works by Dimitri Kozyrev alongside a select group of emerging contemporary artists. If you find yourself in Arizona this summer, you best make the trip over to see fresh works from the Kozyrev studio.

Additionally, Kozyrev is featured in Stephan Stoyanov Gallery‘s (NY) current group exhibition, Sites of Memory: Architecture and Remembering, with Thomas Ruff, Rachel Whiteread and others, on view through July 25th. He will also be included in Mixed Greens‘ (NY) upcoming exhibition, Gimme Shelter, which opens Thursday, July 15, 6-8pm, and runs until September 3rd.

Dimitri Kozyrev Featured in Four Exhibitions

With two upcoming shows in New York, one in Santa Fe and one in Tuscon, Dimitri Kozyrev is trying to be an equal opportunist for those wanting to see his work. Kicking things off with Stephan Stoyanov Gallery on June 6th, Kozyrev will also have works featured in New York in Mixed Greens‘ group exhibition, “Gimme Shelter,” on view July 15 – September 3, 2010.

Kozyrev will simultaneously have work in “Made in Tuscon/Born in Tuscon/Live in Tuscon Part II” at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tuscon, AZ – on view July 3 through September 25 – as well as the inaugural group exhibition at David Richard Contemporary‘s new space in Santa Fe, NM, which opens July 19th.

Be sure to catch one – or all – of Dimitri’s national appearances.

Review: Dimitri Kozyrev at Mark Moore Gallery

Saturday Night Opening

Last Saturday night Mark Moore Gallery was the place to be when we opened the shows of Nobuhito Nishigawara and Dimitri Kozyrev. We had a great turnout of those interested in checking out Nobu’s amazing ceramic sculpture, Dimitri’s beautiful paintings and the free booze. Thanks to everyone who came and made the night a success, we look forward to seeing you next time. Congratulations to the artists for producing such great exhibitions. Here’s a glimpse of the fun had by all.

Nobuhito and Dimitri installation.

Mark Moore Gallery is currently in the midst of art fair shipping/show installation mayhem. By the looks of it, from the photos below, it’ll all be worth it. If you’re in the area, please come to Nobu and Dimitri’s opening this Saturday the 21st and show your support. The exhibition is going to look fantastic.
