Tim Bavington in NYC

MMG’s Tim Bavington opened his solo show at Jack Shainman Gallery to a full house and overwhelmingly positive buzz last Thursday night (09/10). Yoram Wolberger featured at The Lab

Also opening September 18th is The Lab’s (San Francsico, CA) fourth annual juried group show, Syzygy. Juried by David Cunningham and Misako Inaoka, Syzygy features works by Randy Colosky, Eric Larson, Liesa Lietzke, Hye Yeon Nam, Dominic Nguyen, Flynn O’Brien, Benji Rowan, Gretchen Till, Jessica Westbrook, and Alan Disparte & our own Bay-Area native, Yoram Wolberger.

The opening reception will take place from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., with the show running through Saturday, October 10, 2009. If you’re near NorCal, it’s definitely worth a visit! Details can be obtained at The Lab’s site.

Ryan Taber in NYC

Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) will be transforming an entire city block into a public art space for contemporary works starting September 18, 2009. Dubbed LentSpace, the project will be located in a downtown New York City block between Canal, Varick, Grand and Sullivan Streets.

The inaugural visual arts exhibition, entitled Points & Lines, is on view through the end of 2009, and features MMG’s Ryan Taber alongside Oliver Babin, Olga Chernysheva, Eli Hansen and Oscar Tuazon, Graham Hudson, Tobias Putrih and Corban Walker. For more information, visit the LMCC’s website.

Jason Salavon in Cerritos

MMG’s Master of Multimedia, Jason Salavon, will have three works featured in Cerritos College Art Gallery’s “Over/Flow: Horror Vacui in an Age of ‘Information’ Abundance.” Also featuredĀ  will be works by James Enos, Roni Feldman, Alexandra Grant, Kael Greco, Matthew Green, Aiko Hachisuka, Chris Jordan, Simmons & Burke and Jody Zellen.

The exhibition opens on Tuesday, September 15th, 4-8pm, and will be on view through November 5, 2009. As always, admission is free.

Skew Gallery Presents: Kim Dorland
