On May 9th, gallery artist Julie Heffernan made a radio appearance on Bloomberg Radio’s The Hays Advantage. Along side Sharon Louden, the two discussed Louden’s book, Living and Sustaining a Creative Life. The book, edited by Louden, compiles 40 essays by working artists, including Julie Heffernan, about their commitment to creativity in all aspects of life. In the interview, Heffernan describes how her life as an artist changed in some fundamental ways after having her little boy. Louden and Heffernan also discuss the challenges women face as artists in comparison to male peers. Louden and Heffernan speak with Bloomberg’s Kathleen Hays and Vonnie Quinn.
